The announcement text: A General * Facilities Manager required for a cleaning contractor Experienced general manager * facilities manager who has worked for a subcontractor at a venue with a high turnover of people i.e. a customer led * hospitality environment for example an exhibitions venue, shopping centre, theatre, hospital, hotel, sports club, etc. Must have experience of working on a contract. Preferably with experience of managing cleaning services. Preferably NEBOSH trained (if not training will be provided). Quality and service orientated experience. People Management experience. Experience controlling Service Level Agreements and adhering to Key performance indicators. Experience of quotations and budgets. Skills and Capabilities:- Change Management Attention to detail Leadership Proactive Innovative Computer literate Able to work to tight deadlines Quality, service and people focussed Responsibilities:- Member of the management team, playing a key role in strengthening the service provision to clients and guests. Proactive facilities and general management for all tenancy and out of tenancy subcontractor cleaning. (Tenancy - build up, during and breakdown of shows and out of tenancy - housekeeping and maintenance.) To provide a proactive and innovative service focusing on quality and industry cleaning standards (BICS). Keeping the client fully involved and updated. Auditing existing staff and retraining to include multi-skilling and focussing on new objectives. Day to day management including staff resourcing and planning. To provide leadership, communication and staff involvement in the change and improvement process. To manage site visits to other venues to include hotels and shopping centres. To ensure that innovation is planned back into the companys programme of works Ensuring proactive waste management at site. Reviewing and providing true waste management suppliers. Identifying and implementing new systems. Running and attending management meetings. To provide training for all staff including health and safety and cleaning standards. The manager will be responsible for a permanent staff of 20 with a casual workforce of around 60. Services the manager will be responsible for will include the following: cleaning services, cloakroom and toilet attendants. Lifts attendants (passenger and goods), waste, recycling and ancillary (i.e sanitary bins, toilet vending machines and pest control.)
